Project Overview

What we delivered

For Greenlands Estate, we expanded the existing 1 MW ATESS ESS hybrid system with a 375 kW solar PV extension, adding 447.72 kWp of new generation across 728 high-efficiency 615 W N-type bifacial modules arranged in 44 ground-mount strings. The new array feeds three 125 kW Sineng grid-tie inverters, integrating seamlessly with the plant's existing battery storage, inverter, and bypass infrastructure to increase capacity without disrupting the original system.

To strengthen grid-side performance, we installed three 100 kVAR static var generators (SVG) upstream of the solar systems, correcting the site's power factor and improving utility parameters at the ZESCO metering point. Plant-wide coordination is handled by an IES energy management system (EMS), delivering full active power management, scheduling, and real-time monitoring across both the original 1 MW ESS and the new PV extension.

Our solution increases Greenlands Estate's generation capacity, improves power quality, and provides reliable, renewable energy across the estate — reducing grid dependence while giving the site complete visibility and control over its energy use.
